The NC House just voted to pass the Republican abortion ban. This is a huge, 46-page bill that would not only limit abortion to 12 weeks, but enact even more unnecessary restrictions on doctors and clinics and give millions to fake "clinics" that deny pregnant people accurate information about abortion.

We're thankful to everyone who came out to protest today, and for our Featured Candidates who stood up for our reproductive rights during today's debate. As Rep. Julie von Haefen said, "This bill is cruel and insulting. It is harmful, medically unnecessary, and disrespectful. I and NC women can make our own decisions."

Despite the public backlash, Republicans are trying to ram this bill through the legislature as fast as they can. We can expect the NC Senate to vote on it in the coming days, so now is the time to contact your Senators and tell them to vote NO on the ban.

We recommend reaching out to Republicans in swing districts, like Sen. Michael Lee and Bobby Hanig. Let them know we won't stand for these continued attacks on our rights.

The only way to ensure abortion remains accessible in North Carolina is to vote these anti-abortion extremists out of office.
