🚨Washington State Governor Jay Inslee just signed one of the strongest gun safety packages in the country! 🚨

The new legislation consists of three lifesaving laws:

• A ban on the sale of assault weapons like AR-15s
   
• Safety training requirements and a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases
   
• New legal liabilities for gun retailers and manufacturers
   

Together, we fought alongside advocates, survivors, and elected officials for years to make this happen. These transformative gun safety laws will undoubtedly save lives by holding the gun industry accountable for flooding our streets with weapons of war and keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous individuals.

This is a BIG moment for our movement. It’s also a testament to our progress over the past five years on this issue and the power young people have when we fight for commonsense gun measures.
