Hi, everyone,
For the past six years, I’ve served as the mayor of Manchester. I’m proud of our community and our strides to make Manchester a stronger city. Now, I’m exploring a run for Governor of New Hampshire.
We’ve made progress in Manchester by having conversations and meetings with parents, small business owners, educators, community leaders, and every resident who wants to be heard. We’ve added thousands of new jobs, hundreds of affordable housing units, decreased class sizes, and reduced violent crime by 38 percent.
I’ll be taking that exact same personal approach to my discussions to the North Country, Keene, Nashua, Portsmouth, and everywhere in between as I explore a run for Governor.
It has become increasingly clear that the challenges we face in Manchester are felt in almost every community across the state. As Mayor, I’ve collaborated with local leaders across New Hampshire to address these challenges – and we’ve delivered real progress. But there is a lack of support for cities and towns at the state level and I know we can do better. We need someone who is committed to addressing issues and building opportunities in every community.
That’s why I wanted you to be one of the first to know that I’m exploring a run for Governor.
I’m looking forward to hearing directly from you about how our state can put local communities and families first, so everyone, no matter where they live in New Hampshire, has a chance to get ahead.
Making a change in the Governor’s office will require an enormous effort and a show of strength on day one. I need 50 people to donate as much as they can to this email so that, when the time comes, we'll have the funds to build a formidable campaign. I’m counting on you to be one of them. If you're ready for a Democratic Governor in New Hampshire, become a Founding Donor right now.
