While 2024 may seem like a ways off, the GOP is wasting no time trying to flip this seat red. We had a hunch this was coming, but an early challenge means we'll need to spend even more time defending against attacks.

Experts from all over agree that IL-17 will be one of the closest races in the entire country. In the last election, the GOP's network of super PACs spent millions against us, and we were outraised by our opponent significantly. Eric still came out on top, but only by a few percentage points.

We say this a lot, but it bears repeating: grassroots support from individual donors like YOU was our best firewall against the GOP’s attacks. It’s literally how we won this seat, and if we’re going to keep it, we’ll need that same level of support.
