This week, the House of Representatives passed the historic Limit, Save, Grow Act.   Passing the Debt Limit for a More Prosperous Tomorrow This week, the House of Representatives passed the historic Limit, Save, Grow Act. Our national debt is currently over $31 trillion, which would amount to $94,000 for every single American. While America has a debt addiction problem, House Republicans have the antidote. The Limit, Save, Grow Act will limit discretionary spending for bloated bureaucracy, save taxpayers money, and grow our economy by getting Americans back to work, ending our dependency on China, and lowering energy costs —all while protecting and preserving Social Security and Medicare. Right now, there are more job openings in the United States than there are people looking to work. In fact, there are roughly 40 million able-bodied adults enrolled in Medicaid and 64% receiving food stamps don't work at all. If there are over 10 million job openings across the country, why is the U.S. taxpayer subsidizing people who don't work? It's past time for us to tighten our belts and prioritize getting our economy back on track. The Limit, Save, Grow Act is a monumental win for Central Washingtonians and I look forward to bringing fiscal sanity and prosperity back to this country. Yesterday, I joined "Your World with Neil Cavuto" to discuss the secret Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police stations in the U.S. These "police stations," within our own borders, are being used by the CCP to monitor and harass Chinese citizens overseas as part of a crackdown on criticism of their regime. The House Select Committee on the CCP and I asked the FBI pretty basic questions about these CCP police stations, like how many secret CCP police stations are there in the U.S. or when they knew about this threat, and they could not answer our questions. This is unacceptable. This week, we followed up with FBI Director Christopher Wray with a letter to understand their strategy to combat transnational repression. This is yet another threat of many from the CCP that the United States, including the FBI, must take very seriously. I will work tirelessly to counter foreign agents persecuting people here on American soil. We want everyone in this country to know that if the CCP targets them, their voice will be heard at their local police station, the FBI, and in the halls of Congress. We will ensure that all levels of law enforcement have the training and resources to end this ugly affront to our sovereignty.
