Senator Collins will only vote against her party when it won’t make a difference to the outcome.
That’s why she voted in favor of witnesses AFTER McConnell already had the votes to block the measure. But she voted TWELVE times against hearing from witnesses and evaluating important evidence.
She only did it for political cover because she is up for reelection — NOT because she actually cares about getting all the facts in this trial.
