The Republican Party of New Mexico has some sad news to report. Edward Cassidy, a longtime prominent figure in Republican politics in the state, passed away last week. He was 86.
RPNM wishes to express its sympathies to the Cassidy family.
Edward worked at Sandia National Laboratories for decades and was very active in the Republican Party of New Mexico. He was a member of the Uniform State Rules Committee for more than half a century and served as its Chair a number of years. Edward also worked hard on several political campaigns, including ones for his wife, Patricia, who served as Bernalillo County Commissioner from 1985 to 1992.
