Last week, I introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate April as the Month of the Military Child. Will you sign on to show your support for this resolution and our military families?

The observance of the Month of the Military Child is to honor and celebrate military children for their service, sacrifice, and commitment that goes hand in hand with their parents’ service to our military. Servicemembers and their families make sacrifices, adapt to changes, and tackle challenges that come with military service.

Children of servicemembers often move from school to school, have to make new friends, and endure periods of time without seeing parents who have been deployed.

To all of the children of parents who are serving our country: We recognize and appreciate the sacrifices you have made and continue to make. Every month — but especially this month — we honor you.

John, will you join me in supporting the children of our servicemembers by adding your name?

Georgia is home to over a dozen military bases, and I am honored to represent and serve the military families of Georgia’s Second Congressional District. I will continue working hard in Congress to support military children and families.

Thank you,

Congressman Sanford Bishop
