Currently, the President is refusing to meet with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy
on negotiations surrounding the debt ceiling, which could lead to a default on
our national debt and send the U.S. economy into a tailspin. The President’s
refusal to come to the negotiating table could cause interest rates for things
like homes and cars to surge even higher for millions of Texans.



Even as inflation rates hit 40-year highs, the President and his allies still
refuse to revert back to the economic policies that kept inflation at bay in
the previous administration, simply for political reasons.
