Right now, Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis are working overtime to raise the money they think they’ll need to beat President Biden. And they have the financial and political support of Big Oil, the NRA, billionaire donors, special interests, and more on their side.

No matter which Republican ends up challenging President Biden — Trump or DeSantis — letting them win the presidency would be a disaster for our country and our democracy. Both have spent years dismantling the fundamental rights of our nation while courting the support of far-right bigots, conspiracy theorists, seditionists, and other extremists.

Losing the White House to the GOP also would mean losing four long years of time in our fight for progress on climate change, voting rights, gun safety, workers’ rights, reproductive freedom, and so much more, too much to list. That’s four years that our people and our planet can’t afford to lose.
