I would say that there are no words -- but I’ve actually got plenty of words.

For starters: Democrats in Virginia have worked tirelessly to make voting easier and more convenient in the Commonwealth. The GOP plan? Make voting harder.

They are quite literally scheming to gut voting rights. From limiting voting on college campuses and getting rid of same-day voter registration to curtailing the automatic mailing of ballots to registered voters -- today’s Republican Party is focused on making it harder for people to vote.

Why? Because that’s the only way they think they can win! They’re calling these egregious plans ways to “level the playing field” -- but let’s be real, they’re just ways to silence dissenters.

Voting is the bedrock of our democracy. Period. We need to make sure that ALL Americans can make their voices heard at the ballot box. If you agree, add your name to my petition today to condemn these undemocratic efforts.

Look, it’s easy to become cynical or disillusioned when you see stories like this and realize just how determined the GOP is to regain power no matter what voters have to say about it.

But I hope you’ll keep this one thing in mind: If you weren’t so powerful, they wouldn’t be so afraid of you.

We have the power to fight back against these anti-voting schemes, especially if we fight together.
