Registering new voters is one of the most important things we can do this year and we are always looking for more trained Voter Registration volunteers. We have created several training opportunities, and you are invited to participate in an upcoming Voter Registration (VR) Training Session.
You will learn to Create Committed Voters, including: how to register new voters; help current voters update their address; party and/or signature; encourage voters to request mail ballots; and generally educate voters about the voting process; you will also learn the petition collection process. The session should take about 1-1/2 hours including questions/answers. It's easy, but it's incredibly important to learn how to fill out the registration form correctly. We want to help you become an expert in helping others exercise their right to register and vote!
After your training we hope that you will use your skills for various VR activities: events that we have planned, events or opportunities that you plan, canvassing door-to-door, and/or more generally in providing the service of VR to those you come across in your everyday life in the community. We will help you to participate in and create VR opportunities.
