Happy Earth Day, folks!

53 years ago, I went to one of the first ever Earth Day demonstrations in Philadelphia. That day in 1970, millions of students, activists, and folks across the country took action to celebrate and protect our environment.

Today, over half a century later, the climate crisis is taking a toll on our public lands, our homes, our crops, and our health. Colorado is no stranger to the challenges this brings — from wildfires and mudslides to droughts and soaring temperatures.

That’s why my Democratic colleagues and I have worked hard to pass legislation that confronts the climate crisis head-on — like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act — two of the largest climate and clean energy initiatives in history.

So while we celebrate all the earth’s natural beauty, especially right here in colorful Colorado, there’s still plenty more work to do to protect our public lands and transition us to a clean-energy economy.

Folks, if you can, please chip in to support all the work my colleagues and I are doing in Washington to confront the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves. The progress we’ve made wouldn’t be possible without your support, but we can’t slow down. [[link removed]]

There is no better place to celebrate the gifts that nature has given us than Colorado. We’ve got to do all that we can to protect it.

Thanks and talk soon,

John
