She talked about the action she’s taking to protect abortion

Did you see Maura on The Rachel Maddow Show last week?

Maura joined Rachel Maddow because a federal court judge in Texas issued a ruling blocking the FDA's approval of mifepristone. If it goes into effect, it could ban mifepristone nationwide, even in states like Massachusetts where abortion is legal.

Maura is standing up for our state — she’s already issued an executive order affirming protections for medication abortion in Massachusetts, and ordered enough mifepristone to ensure sufficient access in the state of Massachusetts for more than a year.

Maura delivered a powerful message to the rest of the country:

"Come to Massachusetts. We’re a great state, great place to live, great place to earn a living, great place to grow a family, and by the way — we’re going to protect your freedom.”

“Today I used my executive authority as Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I’m proud to be able to do that. As a result, women here are protected. Our providers and prescribers are protected.”

We’re proud to have a governor who’s willing to protect our freedom and make sure Massachusetts remains a beacon of hope for the rest of America. And we’re proud to stand with her and support her every step of the way.
