Friend --

Last Wednesday, members of the People's Alliance gathered on Zoom and debated endorsing an applicant to fill the vacancy on the District Court bench created when the Honorable Shamieka Rhinehart was appointed to fill a position on the Superior Court. At that meeting, members voted to endorse Kendra Montgomery-Blinn.

Your People's Alliance PAC sent a letter to Governor Cooper <[link removed]> recommending that he appoint Montgomery-Blinn to fill the vacancy on the District Court bench.

The People's Alliance PAC encourage lawyers who both share the People's Alliance vision and are eligible to vote in Sixteenth Judicial District Bar process to select Mongomery-Blinn as their choice in that process. Voting in the Bar process ends on Wednesday, April 19 at 5 p.m., and eligible lawyers may cast a ballot here <[link removed]>.

Thank you to all the candidates who put their names forward to serve as a District Court judge. We also thank the nearly 100 PA PAC members who participated in the endorsement meeting, sharing and listening to each other to consider which candidate would best serve Durham while upholding PA PAC's values.

Warmly,

People's Alliance PAC
