In a stunning report out last week, we learned that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas failed to disclose decades of lavish gifts and trips from a GOP mega-donor – who also had business in front of the Court.
As Sen. Chris Murphy said, this is the “clearest, most brazen violation of judicial ethics you can imagine.”
Democrats believe in strong ethics reforms of the federal court system, including the Supreme Court. In fact, Sen. Richard Blumenthal introduced legislation last year that promotes accountability and increases transparency in the federal courts.
