‌ ‌ WEEKLY UPDATE April 7th, 2023 Dear Kansas friends, Thank you for your interest in receiving my newsletter. Please feel free to share this with your friends and family. I Stand with Law Enforcement While Democrats push dangerous anti-police rhetoric and weaken penalties for violent crimes, I am laser-focused on ensuring our police officers have all the resources they need to do their job. God bless our brave law enforcement officers in Kansas and across America. Watch HERE: Three Kansas City police officers were shot yesterday trying to keep deadly fentanyl off our streets. Join me in praying for a full and swift recovery for these brave officers. God Bless our men and women in blue who fight the fentanyl epidemic every single day to keep Kansas communities safe. Read more HERE Pushing Back on the Failures of the Biden Administration America's combat readiness is incumbent upon our troops' ability to fight alongside one another as a cohesive unit—united under a single flag regardless of demographic or creed. This week I pushed back against the Biden administration's attempt to force their progressive agenda on our military. Watch HERE: Bank records show that the Biden family received over $1,000,000 in payments linked to companies backed by our nation's biggest adversary —Communist China. What did the Biden family do in return for that money? My colleagues and I on the Oversight Committee are working to get answers for the American people. Watch HERE This new report is no surprise. Everyone from China and Russia to cartels and terrorist groups are emboldened by President Biden's continued weakness on the world stage. The United States must send a strong message to the CCP that we will not tolerate their increased aggression. This is the result of the Biden administration's reliance on foreign nations for America's energy supply. I voted in favor of the Lower Energy Costs Act to maximize energy production here in America. TikTok National Security Threat It's clear that TikTok is a worsening national security threat to the United States. Congress should take appropriate action to ensure the data of 150 million Americans is protected and out of the hands of our nation's biggest foreign adversary—the Chinese Communist Party. Read More HERE Congratulations, Tyler Nolte, State Spelling Bee Champion! Tyler Nolte, an 8th grader from Nemaha Central Middle School, is the Sunflower State Spelling Bee Champion! His winning words were "gadzookery" and "drumlin." Congratulations Tyler and good luck at the 2023 Scripps National Bee this summer! Honoring Gold Star Spouses We honor the Americans who have lost a loved one while serving our nation. Thank you for courageously carrying on the legacies of America's heroes. God bless the men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Happy Passover Wishing a happy and blessed Passover to everyone celebrating in Kansas and around the world! Chag Sameach!
