Join WDE for an interactive, virtual three-part series with the author of ?Specially Designed Instruction: Increasing Success for Students with Disabilities.? Continue your deep exploration of specially designed instruction by evaluating a variety of real-life classroom examples. Discuss with Anne and your colleagues how to determine if these interventions are accommodations, specially designed instruction, or strong differentiation.?

Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and choose strategies for adapting content, methodology and delivery of instruction. Beninghof, an internationally recognized consultant and trainer, will provide examples of the planning process and guide you through planning an inclusive lesson that integrates specially designed instruction. Anne M. Beninghof has more than 40 years of experience working with students and teachers, in a variety of public and private settings. She has been a special education teacher, adjunct faculty member of the University of Hartford and the University of Colorado, has published several books and videos, and provided staff development in all 50 states.

Beninghof has authored 13 books, several educational videotapes and is a regular contributor to blogs and webinars. She has also collaborated with numerous state agencies to bring about inclusive practices. In her teaching, presenting and writing, Beninghof focuses on creative, practical solutions for more effectively including students with diverse learning needs in general education classrooms.
