ASBN is convening a Policy Summit in Washington D.C. that will feature a full day of conference programming on topical policy issues. ASBN members will also be able to participate in a day of lobbying on Capitol Hill. We will bring together stakeholders from across our network to continue important conversations outlined in our newly revised report, Creating an Economic System that Works for All (to be released for the conference). Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with the Biden Administration leaders, network with fellow leaders in business and regenerative capital, and discuss important policy messages at a key moment on Capitol Hill.

This webinar presented by ASBN's Restorative Investing Task Force ([link removed]) will focus on those building housing solutions for Inclusive Economies in marginalized communities.The session will be opened by Laina Greene, CEO of Angels of Impact. Derek Peebles (Senior Director Policy & Advocacy, Inclusive Economy, ASBN) will open by sharing about the Inclusive Economics initiative at ASBN and how the Task Force fits into this effort. Najaah Daniels (CEO, Inclusive Capital Collective) will share the work of the ICC and offer some innovative financial instruments being innovated in its network, and Erika Williams (Senior Vice President, RSF Social Finance) will share about the Crenshaw project as one of its investors.

For this Business for Democracy working group meeting we will have Jeremy Rose, a research analyst with FairVote, as our guest.

Jeremy will be presenting on the research in FairVote’s recently released “Dubious Democracy 2022.” This report highlights the overwhelming lack of competition in U.S. House of Representatives elections in 2022. The “Dubious Democracy 2022” report finds that “voter consensus” was only 24% in the 2022, “showing that only a small portion of the population is represented by these recently elected members of Congress.” The report also ranks all 50 states on “Voter Voice”.
