Now that he has been indicted, President Trump will have to defend himself in the court.

I’ve been a lawyer for 40 years, and the heart of our country’s justice system is that every single person must have a fair and impartial proceeding. This is no different.

We don’t know what will happen next. The jurors in these proceedings will have a solemn responsibility to follow the facts.

But no matter what happens in Donald Trump’s court proceedings, we do know one thing: Trump has a clear history of shamelessly flouting the will of the American people and American voters.

Bottom line -- Democrats need to be prepared for anything ahead of 2024.
