Friend,

Eleven years ago today, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law, but the gender pay gap persists.
Today, Black women earn just 62 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. Latinas earn 54 cents. For Native American women, it’s 58 cents. White women make 79 cents, and Asian-American women earn 90 cents on the dollar.
This is unjust and it’s holding our country, our economy, and our families back.

But the gender pay gap will continue to persist until we insist on pay equity, raise the minimum wage to $15, establish access to paid family and medical leave, and make childcare both affordable and accessible.

I’ve spent my career standing up to bullies and fighting to advance opportunities for women and working families. I’m asking you to donate ahead of our first major fundraising deadline of the 2020 cycle so we can take this fight for equal pay to the Senate.
