# [#]John,Last week we celebrated the 13th anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act. The landmark ACA dramatically increased the number of insured Americans, protected people with pre-existing conditions from coverage denial, extended coverage of young people up to the age of 26 on their parent’s health plans and more. 40 million Americans get their healthcare through the ACA and the Medicaid expansion today.

My life’s work has been championing affordable, equitable and universal healthcare, and lowering prescription drug prices. But, MAGA Republicans want to repeal the Affordable Care Act, unravel Medicare negotiating lower drug prices, do away with the capping of $35 a month for insulin and slash Medicaid. They want to dismantle our hard-won progress while extending the Trump tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and largest corporations.

I firmly believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. I won’t stand by while the GOP threatens to cut healthcare for the most vulnerable. Will you chip in now to help me continue this fight?
