Earlier this month, the governor of Wyoming signed into law the country's first explicit ban on medication abortion—with criminal penalties for providers. And Republicans in the Texas House of Representatives are considering a bill that would force internet companies to block access to websites with information about medication abortion.
The Texas bill* actually goes even further: It could let Texans sue anyone who provides "information" about medication abortion to someone else.

This all comes at the same time as a federal judge is poised to revoke the FDA's approval of mifepristone, one of two medications typically used in medication abortion—the most common form of abortion in the country.
