John— We’re three months into 2023, and the number of mass shootings far outpaces the number of days. The latest, a shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, claimed the lives of three nine-year-olds and three adults. It’s a story we’ve experienced far too many times—an active shooter infiltrates a school campus and opens fire. Children aren’t reunited with their parents. Adults don’t make it home to their families. [ [link removed] ]When it comes to gun violence, extremist legislators will blame anything but the actual problem: easy access to guns. Can you help us ensure our leaders pass commonsense gun laws? The daily loss of lives to gun violence doesn’t have to be the norm. We know exactly the types of policies that will help prevent these tragedies and save lives, and our lawyers are working in state legislatures across the country to help pass them.
